David has over 25 years of experience as a CPA in South Carolina and North Carolina. He began his career at Arthur Andersen and then spent almost a decade as CFO of a $100 million homebuilding company before starting his own small CPA firm in Rock Hill, which provides tax, audit and advisory services for individuals, privately owned businesses and nonprofit organizations. David also specializes in litigation support services and has testified in federal court. David’s leadership has assisted multiple public and nonprofit boards. He volunteered as a leader with the Boy Scouts of America for over 25 years and publishes regularly for an international photography society. David earned a B.S. in Business Administration and a Master of Accounting degree from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Michelle is an experienced Accounting Manager with a demonstrated history of working in the construction industry. She earned her a Master of Science in Accounting (MACC) from Liberty University.

Allen has more than 30 years of experience in accounting, business, finance and tax matters. He began his career with an International CPA firm, has served as the corporate controller of a large textile company and as the CFO of a national industrial company. In January 2013, he acquired a Greenville CPA practice which he operated as its sole owner until merging it into Stokes & Company CPAs in January 2018. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Holly, his children and grandchildren and is an active community leader, serving on the boards of multiple organizations.

Brad has over 17 years of experience with Dixon Hughes Goodman, the last 11 years with DHG Search Advisors and 6 years before that as an auditor. Brad serves a wide range of industries, including Healthcare, Manufacturing, Construction, Service, and others. The level of positions Brad supports range from Staff to CFO. Brad has served on many non-profit boards and industry associations. He is actively involved in community organizations and has served on the IMA Carolinas Council, as President of the IMA and as a Loaned Executive for United Way.

Robert has over 13 years public accounting experience, with an emphasis in auditing. He has performed financial audits of large commercial entities in the manufacturing, distribution, and stevedoring industries as well as employee benefit plans. Robert has been with WebsterRogers since 2004, is a Partner in the Firm’s Assurance Services Group and serves as the Firm’s Regional Managing Partner of the Pee Dee Region. He also serves as Chair of the SCACPA Growing the Accounting Profession Committee.

About Me

Chris is the chief executive officer for the Association and reports to the board of directors. As CEO, Chris leads strategic planning initiatives, fosters relationships with strategic partners, and promotes and develops member services.

Jacque is the Chief Operating Officer/Chief Financial Officer for the South Carolina Association of CPAs. She is the resident CPA at the association. In her COO role she is responsible for overall SCACPA operations, including oversight of all departments. In her role as CFO she is responsible for all areas of accounting and finance. She serves as staff liaison to the Educational Fund Board. She has over 25 years of accounting and finance experience working with both nonprofit and for profit organizations. Jacque is a graduate of the University of South Carolina with a bachelor’s in accounting.

Debbie is our Member Engagement Coordinator, hailing all the way from South Africa. With a strong background in hospitality, Debbie is our first line of communication between members and staff. Her goal is to make sure every member has a great overall experience. When she’s not answering phone calls, you can find Debbie on the baseball field rooting for her grandson, looking for any excuse to get to the beach or an opportunity to play in her garden.

Andrell serves as our Relationship Manager, bringing with him a sales background and a wealth of experience in customer service. His primary goal at SCACPA is to cultivate relationships and forge partnerships that elevate the CPA profession. Hailing from Columbia, SC, Andrell is happily married and a proud parent of two children.

Whitney is our Creative Strategist. She designs and createselements forourprint, video, social media, email, and other digital mediums. She is also responsible for day-to-day management of our website content and the site’s quality assurance processes. In addition to her creative work, Whitney also assists us in gathering and interpreting performance tracking metrics of ourcommunications.Whitney is a graduate of Winthrop University, with a BS in Digital Information Design. Whitney is a founding member of the Winthrop Associate Chapter of Zeta Sigma Chi Multicultural Sorority, Inc.

Liz works to ensure that SCACPA members know the What, Why and How of the Association and its activities. She’s a St. Louis native, graduated from Truman State University, and has a passion for association work and helping members succeed. She has worked with associations for nearly 20 years.

Alexandria is an enthusiastic University of South Carolina College of Hospitality graduate who has a passion for event planning. She is dedicated to giving her time and talents to others, which she carries out with organizations such as Junior League and Harvest Hope. Alexandria enjoys spending time with family and dining with friends. She is the mother of four beautiful children whom she adores and spoils rotten.

Joyce Shields, the Executive/Finance Assistant, plays a pivotal role in both providing executive support and assisting with the financial operations of the business. She extends her expertise to aid the volunteer coordinator and enhance member engagement initiatives. Beyond her professional pursuits, Joyce finds solace in nature through hiking, relishes the excitement of sporting events, and enjoys the culinary adventures of dining out.
