WINCHESTER, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Clark County deputy jailer was arrested Tuesday and charged with Official Misconduct and 2nd Degree Promoting Contraband, according to a report in The Winchester Sun.
The newspaper reports that 53-year old Heriberto Rojas was fired immediately following his arrest. He was lodged in the Clark County Detention Center, where he was an employee just hours before.
The arrest followed a joint investigation by the jail and Winchester Police, according to the newspaper. Rojas had been a deputy jailer since November 2014, according to the newspaper.
No details were released about what led to the arrest and charges.
