Monkey Village Best Path BTD6 (Tier-5) - Basically Average (2024)

The Monkey Village is considered one of the best support Towers in Bloons TD 6 and while the Monkey Village does not deal any damage, it can vastly increase the damage of Towers around it.

The Monkey Village has three vastly different upgrade paths for players to select.

Players can ultimately choose between being able to raise the attack speed and damage of Towers, allow Towers to gain visibility of all types of bloons as well as the ability to upgrade some Towers’ upgrades for free or purchase upgrades for cheaper as well while being able to sell Towers at higher resell costs.

The Monkey Village is considered an essential support Tower to place and will help empower Towers no matter what upgrade path players choose, though as is with most Towers, players will want to be picky about what upgrades they choose depending on what circ*mstance they are in and what Towers they are choosing to place.

The following guide will take you through everything you need to know about the Monkey Village, what Towers are best in tandem with the Monkey Village as well as what the best uses of the Monkey Village are.

Monkey Village Best Path BTD6 (Tier-5) - Basically Average (1)

PATH 1 TIER-5 MONKEY VILLAGE – PRIMARY EXPERTISE

The Primary Expertise Monkey Village is a Tower that I originally wrote off as being useless until I was forced to use one in a Daily Challenge.

The first major benefit of the Primary Expertise Monkey Village is that it allows all Primary Monkeys in it’s radius to have access to both Tier-1 and Tier-2 upgrades for free, essentially helping players save quite a bit of money that they can use to either place more Towers for free upgrades or use on alternate types of Towers.

Not only does the Primary Expertise Monkey Village provide Primary Monkeys with some free upgrades, but it also provides the Primary Monkey’s with 3 extra pierce as well as 10% range, 15% projectile speeds and a 10% cooldown on special abilities.

Due to massive upgrades players will receive from the Primary Expertise, players should focus on placing only Dart Monkeys, Boomerang Monkeys, Bomb Shooters, Tack Shooters, Ice Monkeys and Glue Gunners next to this path of Monkey Village.

While other Towers will benefit from some of the upgrades provided by the Primary Expertise Monkey Village such as the increase in attack speed, it is much more beneficial to save the space for only Primary Towers and instead place another Monkey Village with other upgrade paths in order to further empower the Towers.

The nicest thing about the Path 1 Primary Expertise Monkey Village is that it comes with a global attack that deals damage every 3 seconds.

The attack from the Primary Expertise Monkey Village cannot be blocked by Line of Sight obstructions and can ricochet against multiple bloons, piercing through a maximum of 100 regular bloons or 10 MOAB-class bloons.

The Primary Expertise attack will deal 10 damage to regular bloons and 200 damage to Ceramics and MOAB-class bloons, making it an insanely powerful Tower to upgrade to.

By far the best Tower to place next to the Primary Expertise Monkey Village is the Inferno Ring (5/-/-) as this will allow it to attack 4x more bloons simply due to the major pierce buff it causes.

When it comes to cross pathing a Primary Expertise Monkey Village players should usually choose Path 2.

Path 2 will provide players with the ability to halt the growth of any regrowth bloons as well as provide all nearby Towers with Camo detection.

Path 3 will simply provide players with some extra savings when it comes to purchasing upgrades for the Towers.

Unfortunately Path 3 will cover some of the same upgrades as Path 1 does, being that it provides players with a maximum of 15% off of upgrades under tier-3, two of which players would get for free.

In my opinion, cross pathing with Path 3 makes no sense to me.

PATH 2 TIER-5 MONKEY VILLAGE – HOMELAND DEFENSE

The Homeland Defense is my favourite kind of Monkey Village as in my opinion it provides players with the ability to damage all types of bloons, including Camo Bloons, Purple Bloons, Lead Bloons, etc. even if the Tower wasn’t able to do so originally.

What this means is that all Magic Monkeys, including the Wizard Monkey, Druid, and Plasma Super Monkey will be able to pop Purple Bloons.

Explosive towers such as the Mortar Monkey and Bomb Shooter will be able to shred through Black Bloons and Zebra Bloons.

Basically players can indefinitely increase the damage that they deal by allow all Towers to damage all bloons, becoming especially important for players who are struggling to destroy DDTs.

The Homeland Defense Monkey Village increases the range of all nearby towers by 10%.

The Homeland Defense Monkey Village will also have a special ability that increases the attack speed of all Towers on screen by 100%. The special ability also raises the pierce of all Towers on screen by 100%, allowing players to essentially doubling all of the damage Towers can deal.

Unfortunately the special ability only lasts for 20 seconds and has a 45 second cooldown.

The Homeland Defense Monkey Village also continues to block regrowth bloons from growing when they are in range of the Monkey Village.

In most cases I upgrade a Path 2 Monkey Village to have Monkey Intelligence Bureau (-/3/-) and do not upgrade it further unless necessary as an Alchemist with Permanent Brew can be much more helpful due to it’s substantial uptime.

The Homeland Defense is great for acquiring the 2MPC Achievement as it does not deal any damage as it substantially empowers Towers.

Even if a player doesn’t upgrade a Monkey Village all the way to tier-5, players should at least place a Path 2 Monkey Village to tier-3.

PATH 3 TIER-5 MONKEY VILLAGE – MONKEYOPOLIS

The Monkeyopolis Monkey Village is by far my least favourite type of Monkey Village, though it is definitely powerful.

Players should note that the Monkeyopolis Monkey Village cannot be purchased in the Deflation or CHIMPS game mode as players will be unable to purchase the Banana Farms that the Monkeyopolis requires.

The Monkeyopolis is by far the most powerful type of income generator as it will consume all Banana Farms that are below tier-5 and provide players with a substantial amount of income in place of the consumed Banana Farms.

The Monkeyopolis will require players to pay an extra $5,000 per each Banana Farm it consumes in every type of difficulty, although there is a visual bug that will display the wrong price, so make sure you’re regularly checking whether or not there is a visual that shows that you can purchase the upgrade if you are hoping to obtain this Tower.

The Monkeyopolis will begin dropping $300 crates up to a maximum of 10 crates each round. The amount of crates the Monkeyopolis will depend on how many Banana Farms are consumed.

For every $2,000 spent on a Banana Farm, the player will receive a single crate.

If the Monkeyopolis has absorbed Banana Farms that cost over $20,000 it will still drop 10 crates, though they will drop more cash.

Although players may think that the Monkeyopolis Monkey Village is useless as it consumes their main source of income generation, however the Monkeyopolis drops much more cash and can essentially save a lot of space for the player which would normally be consumed by multiple Banana Farms.

Players will want to consume at least 5 Banana Farms and should aim to only consume Banana Research Facilities (4/2/-) as they are the most expensive of their tier.

The Monkeyopolis will also provide players with a decent amount of Tower buffs including 10% range to nearby towers, 10% discount for all upgrades of nearby Towers up to tier-3 and an extra 5% discount for all upgrades of nearby Towers up to tier-3 (which can be stacked up to 3 times with other Monkey Villages.)

Not only that, but the Monkeyopolis will help allow Towers to gain more money from each bloon popped, raising the income of nearby Towers by 10% as well as a 50% increase of the Monkey Town bonus as well as a 50% cash bonus from bloons popped.

The Monkeyopolis will also provide players with 1 Free Dart Monkey each round making it great to pair up with a Path 1 Monkey Village in order to acquire free upgrades and higher damage.

CONCLUSION

When it comes to choosing what Monkey Village players should choose, in most cases players should choose a Path 2 Monkey Village as it will essentially raise the amount of damage players will be able to deal just by placing the Homeland Defense Monkey Village near other Towers.

Players can also use the special ability to raise the damage for a short period of time to help ensure that bloons are shred through before they leak.

I would strongly recommend a Path 1 Primary Expertise Monkey Village if players are planning on placing a lot of Primary Monkeys as this can substantially raise the amount of damage a player can deal using these Towers.

The Path 3 Monkeyopolis is quite a strong Tower to place as it provides players with a vast amount of income, though at the same time it doesn’t provide Towers with the most damage.

I would strongly recommend placing a Path 3 Monkeyopolis if players already have a Primary Expertise Monkey Village as both of them in tandem can be extremely powerful, essentially empowering each other to deal a lot more damage, though on it’s own these Towers are mostly a glorified income builder and saver.

So I’m curious, what’s your favourite Monkey Village?

Do you love Path 1 Monkey Villages because you mostly use Primary Towers?

Are you like me who mainly focusses on Path 2 buffs?

Or do you simply love the income generation and saving of the Path 3 Monkey Village.
