Tuition
The tuition and fee charges to attend Manhattan College vary for all of our different types of students:

Manhattan College establishes a full cost of attendance (COA) budget that includes tuition, fees, room and board, books, transportation and personal/miscellaneous expenses. Students are only billed for tuition and fees and the cost of on-campus residency, but the other expenses are calculated into the student expense budget for the purpose of establishing need and awarding aid.

Your cost of attendance (COA) less all aid offered on your award letter is the maximum amount that may be borrowed in loans. We encourage you to only borrow what you need.

The Kakos School of Arts and Sciences payment policy for students pursuing a degree in Organizational Leadership has been designed to ensure that students complete the program and earn their degree with their financial obligation to the College satisfied. Payment deadlines for students pursuing a degree in Organizational Leadership are set based on the course structure, therefore tuition and fees are due one week prior to the start of each part of term.

The online graduate degree payment policy has been designed to ensure that students complete the program and earn their degree with their financial obligation to the College satisfied. Recurring Fees
The following fees are charged on a recurring basis.
Health Services Fee
Assessed to all full-time undergraduate students once per term. It supports a variety of services, including access to our Health Services facility. This fee also includes a mandatory student accident insurance that Manhattan provides to supplement other insurance in case the student is involved in an accident on campus.
Information Services Fee
This fee provides students with a variety ofservices, including email,wireless connectivity, cloud computing with document sharing, file storage, free printing in computer labs, digital signage, a course management system, academic and research database access, and newspapers. It is charged each semester.
Non-Matriculation Fee
This fee is charged each term to students who are not matriculated at Manhattan College.
Overcredit Charges
Students who exceed the annual number of credits listed under the current degree requirements in their field of study for their class status will be charged at the per credit tuition rate for the school in which they are registered. Overcredit charges are assessed each spring semester.Students should contact their academic advisor for questions related to annual enrollment limits.Course requirements are listed in the Manhattan College catalog.
Program Fee
Thisfee is charged each semester to all full-time undergraduate students and serves to differentiate programming costs between the five schools of the College.
Registration Fee (Graduate Students)
This fee is charged to graduate students each term they register. NOTE: Summer registration covers up to three terms.
Room and Board
Room and Board charges are based on a resident student’s meal plan selection each semester. Additional housing surcharges are assessed for single rooms and 12-month housing.
Student EngagementFee
This fee is charged each semester to all full-time undergraduate students. These fees fund Student Government and other recognized Manhattan student organizations as well as varied extracurricular excursions and activities.
Study Abroad Fee
Students studying through study abroad programs are assessed this fee during the semester away from campus.
Transfer Credit Fee
This fee is assessed for matriculated students who have received prior approval from their academic advisor to take a course for credit at another college or university. This fee will be assessed once the transcript has been received, evaluated and processed by the Registrar’s office.
One-time, Mandatory Fees
These fees are assessed to student accounts in their first semester of enrollment at Manhattan College (unless otherwise noted).
Dorm Damage Deposit
This fee is charged to all first-time resident students. It is refundable, less sanctions or damage assessments upon proper withdrawal from housing at the completion of the housing contract period.
Graduation Fee
This mandatory fee covers various expenses including but not limited to: printing of the diploma, registering the degree with New York State, cap and gown, and the commencement ceremony. The fee is charged to all undergraduate students upon completion of 90 credits. Graduate students are assessed the fee after they have officially applied for graduation. The Graduation fee is paid by all graduating student regardless of their participation in the commencement ceremony.
Matriculation Fee
Assessed to all first-year students that confirms pursuit of a baccalaureate degree program.
Orientation Fee
Covers the cost of a two-day orientation program or the orientation new and transferred students undergo each Spring term. Students meet with academic advisors and register for classes.
The uncertainty of present-day costs makes it necessary for the College to reserve the right to adjust tuition and fees whenever necessary. In applying for admission, students and their families should anticipate future annual increases.
